Exploring the consequences of coastal erosion occurring along the Sunshine Coast shoreline, blending textile elements with abstract imagery to portray the formations that arise in the aftermath of this organic occurrence. Examining the unification of water and air in the erosion process, the work’s textile shaping epitomises their elemental capacity to eradicate the existing environment, whilst producing compelling geographical curvatures and constructs. Vibrant and illuminating colouration characterises the serpentine lines and rhythmic patterns formed by Earth’s fundamental forces, in the wake of this destructive yet beautifying demonstration.
