About Mira Corbova Art Gallery
Let art move you — honestly and deeply.
Mira Corbova Art Gallery is a boutique fine art space based in Sydney, presenting emotionally resonant abstract painting, poetry-led works, and curated exhibitions exploring light, atmosphere, and presence.
Founded in 2025 by artist and curator Mira Corbova, the gallery is dedicated to art that moves beyond decoration into lived experience. Each collection is thoughtfully curated to evoke stillness, reflection, and connection within the space it inhabits.
Working through its curatorial platform, Art & Emotion Collective, the gallery collaborates with selected artists whose practices are grounded in emotional depth, material sensitivity, and authenticity.
The gallery operates by private appointment, offering an intimate and considered viewing experience for collectors, curators, and art lovers.

Where Light, Emotion & Colour Meet
Mira Corbova is a Slovakia-born abstract artist based in Sydney, whose practice spans London, New Zealand, and Australia.
Her work explores light, atmosphere, and emotional presence through layered oil painting. Guided by intuition, she creates compositions that unfold over time — not as fixed images, but as evolving experiences shaped by memory, environment, and feeling.
Her signature use of iridescent gold pigment introduces a quiet luminosity within the surface, reflecting light and subtly shifting with perspective throughout the day. Many works are paired with her own poetry, forming a dialogue between visual and written expression that deepens the emotional resonance of each piece.
Born in Slovakia, Mira’s artistic path began in childhood and was internationally recognised at age eleven at the International Art Show in Tokyo. She later developed her practice alongside formal training in art, photography, and business.
After nearly a decade leading The Art Lounge gallery in New Zealand, she relocated to Sydney, where she continues her artistic and curatorial work.
Her work has been presented at The Other Art Fair Sydney and will be exhibited at the upcoming Australian Art Fair and the World Art Dubai in 2026.
Current Work
Mira is currently developing a new body of work, Embers of Love — a series of abstract oil paintings accompanied by original poetry. The collection continues her exploration of light, emotional presence, and the subtle atmospheres that emerge within lived and interior spaces.
Alongside this, she is preparing her first art and poetry book, bringing together selected works and writings, with publication anticipated in early 2027.
Mira is also writing her debut literary fiction novel, inspired in part by real events, exploring themes of transformation, resilience, and self-determined identity.
Artist Statement
“Intuitive art speaks when words have no form. My poetry often arrives in the moment of creation — capturing the emotional heartbeat of each work.”
Mira’s work is rooted in the belief that art is a language of emotional connection. Her paintings are layered, luminous, and meditative, often designed to shift depending on light, orientation, and proximity. Rather than offering fixed meaning, they invite ongoing engagement and personal interpretation.
Through colour, texture, and subtle movement, her work explores how art can quietly shape the emotional atmosphere of a space.
