Lifelong Journey of Creativity and Connection

Born in Slovakia, Mira Corbova was creating since early childhood but her artistic journey began at age 11, receiving international recognition at the International Children’s Art Show in Tokyo. Her academic background in art, photography, and management laid the foundation for a career that seamlessly blends creativity with leadership.

After spending over a decade in London and travelling extensively, Mira expanded her studies to include counselling psychology and tourism, deepening her understanding of human connection and storytelling. In 2012, she relocated to New Zealand, where she founded The Art Lounge NZ, a fine art gallery that not only showcased her work but also featured established and emerging contemporary artists, hosting vibrant exhibitions and art events.

Now based in Sydney, Australia, Mira is an abstract artist, curator, and emerging writer with
a career spanning over two decades. Her intuitive and expressive oil paintings explore themes of freedom, growth, and healing, embodying her deep belief in the transformative power of art. Many of her compositions can be displayed horizontally and vertically, offering collectors a dynamic shift in perspective. The incorporation of gold leaf in her work symbolises light, spiritual growth and abundance, infusing each piece with a radiant, optimistic energy.

Mira’s art invites viewers on a journey of creativity, joy, and healing, fostering a deep connection to their inner selves.

She says: “Intuitive art speaks when words have no form or shape. Creating art is a powerful way to channel creative energy and positive emotions, reflecting a higher vision. I believe in the divine healing power of art and its ability to connect both the artist and the viewer. Each piece I create is an emotional conversation through vibrant colour and shape—a tangible expression of the soul. My poetry, born from the depths of creation or just before, captures the essence of each work in lush hues. It serves as an eloquent extension of the visual—where language becomes another canvas for expression.”

 Healing Art and Emotional Connection

For Mira, art is more than aesthetics—it is an emotional language.

“Art is my DNA; I cannot exist without it.”

Her paintings are intuitive conversations, expressed through bold colours and intricate forms. Many artworks are paired with her original poetry featured in her gallery, offering collectors a deeply personal experience.

Her upcoming book will weave together poetry and selected paintings from her last seven collections, exploring art’s profound role in personal growth, spirituality and emotional healing.
