Mira Corbova
Abstract Artist | Writer | Curator
"Intuitive Art Speaks When Words Have No Form Or Shape." Creating art is a powerful way to channel creative energy and positive emotions, reflecting a higher vision. I believe in the divine healing power of art and its ability to connect both the artist and the viewer. Each piece I create is an emotional conversation through vibrant colour and shape—a tangible expression of the soul.”
A Lifelong Journey of Creativity and Connection
Born in Slovakia, Mira Corbova’s artistic journey began early. At age 11, she achieved international acclaim with a prestigious award at the International Children’s Art Show in Tokyo. Her academic background in art, photography, and management laid the foundation for a career blending creativity and leadership.
Mira spent over a decade in London, working and expanding her studies to include counselling and tourism. Her relocation to New Zealand in 2012 marked a new chapter as the founder of The Art Lounge NZ, a gallery showcasing over 100 contemporary artists and fostering vibrant cultural exchanges.
Based in Sydney’s Kellyville Ridge, Mira continues as an artist and curator, crafting intuitive oil paintings imbued with vibrant colours, organic forms, and a profound sense of serenity. Her work embodies her belief in the transformative and healing potential of art, reflecting personal freedom and emotional depth.
Healing Art and Emotional Connection
For Mira, art transcends aesthetics, becoming a bridge to emotional well-being and personal transformation. “Colours are emotions,” she explains, describing her creations as emotional dialogues through colour and shape. Many of her artworks are accompanied by original poems that are printed on the reverse side, along with a Certificate of Authenticity. These poems, which offer an intimate connection to her creative process, will feature in her forthcoming book alongside a selection of her paintings.
A Curator’s Vision
Mira’s curatorial approach is rooted in her passion for storytelling and healing through art. Having worked with around 100 artists, she now focuses on nurturing a smaller, carefully selected group of unique talents. Through exhibitions and Mira’s Art Soirées, she creates opportunities for local collectors and art lovers to connect with these extraordinary works and their creators.
Emerging Writer
Beyond her visual art, Mira is a dedicated writer who shares her insights through blogs, articles, and poetry. Her writing explores the intersection of art, healing, and personal growth, offering a glimpse into her transformative journey and inspiring others to embrace creativity as a tool for well-being. Her upcoming book will feature her poetry alongside a curated collection of her paintings, delving into the profound ways art can nurture the soul and enhance personal growth.
