Anna give us a version of the City and Opera House view from the Mattawunga shore awash with splashes of colour. Light dots across the water to the central city where each building stands alone, yet somehow still all together. The task she set herself was to show the vibrancy of Sydney using a deep cherry sky to contrast the passion and the essence of a big city at night-time.

By using different base shades she places some buildings behind and others towards the front. This directs the viewers’ focus to the buildings and their relationship to each other. The depiction of the Opera House is more conventional as befits such an iconic building, but she fills it with a dynamic light to represent its place in the cityscape.
